Prelude

Contributed by UnknownLegend on Monday, 14th January 2008 @ 12:06:07 PM in AEST
Topic: SecretLove

My eyes drink from this gilded cup, this dame with skin so fair
To lift that chalice of nectar sweet, to once more drink I dare
For what I've seen and yet to see, I cannot get enough
This lady fair and what she shares ... partaking of her love
But love is not the offering, the only thing to share
The lust confined deep inside, her passion yet to bare.
This creature comes into my life and just as quickly goes.
I see her still, my eyes to fill, how can she really know.
Sometimes at night, I ponder flight her fragrance fills the air
My soul takes wing, my spirit free to follow anywhere
A sound, a smell, a slight caress these things do I desire
my arms embrace, her garment of lace, her heart to set afire
to lie with her and her with me on sheets of satin white
to rid what's left of life's regrets in throws of sheer delight
days to dream of what's to come ... the nights are yet to be
for when I wander deep within.... her lust she'll share with me
Until that time the nights do pass ... go by without a sound
when freedom finally comes our way, true love yet to be found
One day I'll look beyond the miles, my eyes rest on her face
I know what is and yet to be, I know not time nor place.
