NATURE IS
Life in nature simple and pure,
Slight wind blows through the meadow.
Birds are chirping, while the
Squirrels scamper.
I hear the brook flowing
And smell the moisture in the air.
The sun glistens through the
The tallest tress.
A silhouette or a fare maiden
Hiding in the thickets.
The flowers are beautiful
And sweet as can be.
Picture perfect moments
Being captured in time.
The butterflies float through
The essence of time, not wasting
What they know is the best it can be.
Then it happens mother and fawn,
Walking down the trail.
I step to the side to catch a look
Of natures beauty elegant and graceful,
Hoping they wont notice me buying there time.
As I watch mother and child,
Embraced with there love.
I can’t help but wonder
What business of it makes it mine?
As they move on so must I,
It will be dark soon and then I will be blind.

a lovely, humble pastoral observance. Peaceful to read; beautiful images and nicely constructed.
