Love or Money

Topic: oops

Love or Money

Once I knew a man
Who married for love
He married a Lady
Sent from above

Also I knew a woman
Who married for money
Delicate words flowed from lips
Like sweet tasting honey

The man lived
As time goes-Not very long
Yet the days of his life
Filled with love- A happy song

The woman lived
To become very old
Tho she had all money could buy
She was miserable I'm told

Love is true wealth
Gods gift to you my friend
Its return is eternal
Money will end

What is it that makes
One a pauper or King
Or allows a heart
A lifetime to sing

What else exists
Only to uplift and save
Touching hearts and lives
Long past the grave

Its love my friend
Asking little of you
Only a tender heart
With understanding-Compassion too

Not too high a cost
For the gains
When money is forever gone
Love remains

Russ
