black birds ad embers (song)

Contributed by Bohemian27 on Thursday, 10th January 2008 @ 02:47:37 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

Run like the wind from the preachers land
His daughter has taken you by the hand
Down to the creek and the old dirt road
The one that guides your feet back home

Blackbirds and embers both reaching so high
stay for a moment and you could see why
Blackbirds and embers both long for the sky
Walking through life
As if they were blind

Lie in the grass when the day is through
your mother has no room for you
Skin like velvet and eyes like pearls
We'll guide you into a free mans world

Blackbirds and embers both reaching so high
stay for a moment and you could see why
Blackbirds and embers both long for the sky
Walking through life
As if they were blind

(music)

Blackbirds and embers both reaching so high
stay for a moment and you could see why
Blackbirds and embers both long for the sky
Walking through life
As if they were blind
