Sure, I like you
but I dare not admit it
yet, I cannot forget it.
It's a demon in my mind,
causing hell wherever I let it.
You and me, would never work out
we can't be together
I'm not that desperate, and I'm desperate
the mere idea's ugly like cracked leather.
Boy...meets girl
but there's no Disney script for this,
no heartwarming whirl.
Boy CAN'T love girl
but...we can...be...friends?
To that end, I must admit
even I'm a little skeptic
"Us" is a dead end
So before I even a attempt to begin
I can't let you in.
