Grandma's Hand's

Contributed by honey56 on Sunday, 6th January 2008 @ 07:45:59 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

I remember grandma’s hand

She raised us oh so well

She taught us the art of patience

And love for your fellow man

Oh, how I remember grandma’s
Hand..

She held you with her motherly
Instinct

Although we were her son children

She raised us as her own,

A mother taken away from her
Babies way to soon.

I remember grandma’s hand

She taught us the meaning of
Respect.

And learn us to respect ourselves
As well as our fellow man..

She cooked and clean, washed our
Clothes

She nurture she even bath us when
We couldn’t bathe ourselves

She took on 3 small children including
A very small baby in tow..

I remember grandma’s hand's

She would sing while she was in the
Kitchen preparing each and every
Meal..

Listening to those pots and pans
Rattling

Her dropping them on the floor

She tried to shield and protect us from
All the trouble of the world

I remember grandma’s hand’s

She played doctor on every cut

Scratch and

Bruises that came along with
Young children

Grandma’s hand’s

She Issued out the butt whipping
(ouch)

That went along with the hugs

But, yet kissed the tears away

She handed out sugar cookies

And

Issue us out doors to play

I remember her sitting on the
Porch and saying

Don’t get in that dirt, be careful
Momma baby..

My daddy use to tell her “Ah Momma
Let the kids play”

The dirt will wash off..I truly remember
This..Laugh

Grandma’s hand’s

Carried a lot of love and
Affection

I remember my grandmother oh, so
Well

We call her “Momma Etta”

I really love this.

Though it makes me sad. But i like that it make's me sad.
Because it also make's me feel remminisant and kind of happy.
....If that makes sense.

It reminds me of my own grandmother.

Brilliant work

As a Grandma myself I can only say that it would be my dearest wish that my grandchildren felt as much love for me as you show to your grandma in your words. You are very lucky to have her and she to have you. The love and affection comes clearly throughout. Great reading.
