Chiari Malformation
The cerebellum controls the coordination of motion
The cyst that grows cuts off the majority of the flow.
What is this in my head?
That is driving me crazy.
The numbness in the limbs
And the tingling in the body.
Leave, leave me alone.
The pain is horrible,
The nausea is death defying.
Leave, leave me alone.
Starts out slow and almost unnoticeable,
Takes over like a demon trying to take my soul.
Am I going crazy?
The doctors tell me no.
My vision is blurred
Coordination is bleak.
This condition leaves me
Weary and weak.
Leave, leave me alone.
They give me experimental medications
Which the side effects are unreal.
My memory is lapsing
And my head is pounding.
Like a thousand pounds
Of sand that is crushing my life.
They tell me there is no cure,
Rare as it is why don’t they care?
My friends don’t understand
Me and tell me I have changed.
Just wish they would realize this is not me.
Leave, leave me alone
Give me back the life which I once had owned.
The blackouts come more frequent,
To which I have no control.
Please let me live the life I once owned.
