ode to mobe

I come before you small and humble.
grace so powerful yet not exact.
no strategy for me arises...
no reprieve, no turning back...
love can not, will not be coerced.
as an echo rolling off a mountain top
simply can not be reversed.
we are always free to tarry,
flail about or just resist.
I offer you my hand, in friendship.
it is your essence that I miss.
I offer up my heart, to tempt you.
splendid vessel, I am told.
ripe for having, yes I want you
heart & soul 'til I grow old.
love of my love, home of my home.
I loved while weak. I love, now strong.
I'll be with you or love alone.
it matters not...
my will is grounded.
breath of innocence...
embrace of tolerance...
patience...waiting...I abide.
hold to my lessons
both joyful & painful,
all to have you by my side.
enchanted, yes, but not subdued.
it is not harsh , I listened deeply.
& so, not painful, all thorns removed.
loves petals softened as we reach them,
glistening as with lovers dew.
so fresh the morn.
so real the moment.
now...is all we'll ever have.
so fleeting...
still, hold oh so gently.
shield with kindness. be content.
dare not grasp or seldom notice.
keep loves' truce with good intent.
it is no small thing to be loyal.
mindful keeping...love's sublime.
hiding, holding all our heart strings.
simlpy waiting
to entwine.

elle,
The two peoms of yours I have read have a subtle magnitism that draws the reader into its landscape; kind of like the Narnia wardrobe. They don't grab you by the collar and yank you in. They whisper you in. They guide you about and when they end, you shake your head to clear the dream and find yourself saying, "Whoa! Where am I?" But it doesn't really matter where we find ourselves. The important thing is, somehow, we have found ourselves.
Again, I loved the peom.
