Let December Die

Contributed by Nazmythian on Tuesday, 1st January 2008 @ 12:26:35 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

Let December Die

Call the Pastor
Tell him to bring the book
Take one long
Last second look
Say a prayer
Read the Last Rites
Then let’s watch
December die

Cut the lights
And burn the tree
Promise me baby
You’ll still believe
Don’t let go
Or give up the fight
Let’s just let
December die

(chorus)

The past is passed
Into the night
While dawn is cast
With New Year’s light
Stoke the fire
Let the flames rise high
Gather ‘round
Let December die

Gather ‘round
Let December…

Let December die

We’ll make resolutions
To change some things
Then count it down
And start to sing
We’ll raise a toast
As midnight strikes
And we’ll let
December die

(bridge)

Everyday is Christmas
When I have you by my side
( Let December Die )
The spirit of the Holidays
Should always be alive
( Let December Die )

The past is passed
Into the night
While dawn is cast
With New Year’s light
Stoke the fire
Let the flames rise high
Gather ‘round
Let December die

Gather ‘round
Let December…

Let December die

Nazmythian, Nazmythian, Nazmythian,

As always i am astounded by the capacity of your vocabulary and they pure and simple, yet amazingly elegant way that you piece your writes together. And this is no exception. Yet another amazing (and well timed) write to add to the growing list of accomplishments you have to date.

Keep up the good work Nazmythian!!!

Naz,

and a one and a two and a...

great lyrical summation of the year (and personification of the month). Set it to music and sing it on a voice blog, please.

Can I just add, though:

can I kick it in the head,
just to make sure that it's dead
can I kick it in the head,
just one more time! [long]

I hope that you have a great 2008,

Spike

Love it....what can I say. I was hoping to hear a vocal on this. I love it when you add that feature. It's in my head now with Rod Stewart singing it. He's doing an okay job at it. Sounds super.
