Turn The Pages

Contributed by Arwen on Saturday, 8th March 2003 @ 06:40:00 PM in AEST
Topic: happypoetry

There is peace in silence.
Where all around you,
Sweeping over you...images, sounds,
tinkling.
This is the place where my dreams
Find me.
Where I happily join the birds singing.
Such a simple pleasure in life.
Where absolutely everything...
Has the power to move you.

All vexations of the spirit...extinquished.
No more...
Silence,
Lays beside me.
Whispery tendrils of light washing over me.

I'm all alone in this shadowed room.
At the stroke of midnight...the bells chime,
Pealing away its merry tune.
Fire crackling gently...soft music.
All stimulating my senses...
Invigorating.
Tenderly creating a world...away from the present.

Lost in the pages of illusion.
Of precious imagination.
What is life...if not an
Illusion.
Escapism...the ultimate in relaxation.
A way out...my private river of wonders...

I drift off thinking of distant lands...of change,
Of riding a beautiful black stallion through the forest.
Of.....

Silence.
