Yearning

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Time ceases to exist when at your photograph I glance;
Your magnetic eyes seem to put me in a trance.

I float in the air, dreaming of you,
Yearning to be with you;
To be somewhere close to you.

I wonder, do you feel the same;
But do you know, my heart still beats for you.

How I wish, dreams could come true;
They should never evaporate at the crack of dawn, like the forest dew;

How I wish, everything happened, the way we dreamed;
Never to be separated, till fate intervened;
Alas! that was never to be; coz dreams are some fermentation;
They are only a figment of our imagination.
It’s back to reality at the crack of dawn; And life moves on.

I know, you are now in a far off land,
Chances are, we may never ever meet again;
Oh, but my heart, my heart believes,
Someday, somewhere we shall meet.

Till then, let life paint our lives with its own colour and hue;
But, it is true…. I miss you…..

this reminded me of poe and nirvana doing a song together (particularly something like annabelle lee and any of nirvana's songs). im not one that likes the repetitious use of words, especially at the end of lines, so that made me like the poem less than i would have otherwise. the repetitious you's made this seem more sing songy lyrics than poetry (which is good or bad depending on what you were going for). the rhymes enhanced the sing songy nature of this. but i commend you on using punctuation, so many people forget how useful it can be. good write over all, but i am just not one that cares for sing songy, but im sure there are a lot of people that do.
