We All Need To.............

Topic: Lifepoems

How can I feel when I think I feel nothing
Without knowing how to feel, is it something I can steal
Is it something I can gather, or just something that we breath
Playing the game which we all know how to play
The game of life, I better hurry to find a wife

There are steps layed out for us all
Falsehood steps, those not of the maker
Man made steps with no landing at the top
you're born, you school, you work, you marry and then you die

Why are we afraid to die, when we're so happy to work
We have no choice in birth, we have no choice in death
it's something that happens, it's our way to progress
Without knowing we are living like slaves
Not of the material kind, but of the mental kind
What is the other 90 percent of our brain used for

We all hear about Atlantis, the ancient gods of the earth
But how many have questioned why they came, and what they have left
distracted by our belief that we all have to work
To acquire money to survive on this earth
Naieve are the ones who wont question denial
Ancient ancestors telling time through a dial

Who do you believe that you are
how do you believe that you are
why is it that you are here
are you different to those that appear

All of these things only some will have in mind
Is it so hard to believe that we are here for a purpose
Yet it seems so easy to continue on blind
Many religions we have throughout the land
All with one end, the maker, the god, the one, the creator

so we all believe that we are here for something
Still as a species we refuse to resist
Mioney, created by the hand of the evil
To control your thoughts, to ensure nothing happens
although some have broke out and tried to inform us
They just go, by the means of a bullet

It seems hopeless now how we can ever decide
As a whole should we continue, or break off and divide
My message to all is to think to yourself
Are you really happy depending on wealth

when there is so much out there, although hidden in stealth
If we all came together in the unity of one
Perhaps, just perhaps we could take flight to the sun
Our one true decider, our one true faith
For we are all just minions in the scheme of the universe
Believe that you're the only, the one in a million

How stupid can you be to think there are none
With a million different stars floating around the sun
To inhabitants of these stars, to them we are a star
Divided like the black and the white
We can't even overcome this on our own planet
How can we ever venture outside of our granite

My hope for us all is that we learn to crawl
For we have all missed a step as we began to walk
Not knowing how we move them, our legs they will move
We dance in our millions to the self destructive groove
Please I ask that you investigate the true meaning
I emplore you to think for yourself
For what you think, it travels afar, and will implant in the rest
So get rid of your hatred, discard all your hate
Lets give peace a chance, and maybe we will be great

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
