Empty Arms

Topic: LostLove

Hey, beautiful
How you doing down there?
I hope it all goes well
I hope your smile's as bright as your fiery hair
I just need you to know
There's no malice in these words
You broke my heart but that's ok
I'm just glad it was yours
But if you could just do me one thing
Stop hurting yourself over nothing
Everyone makes mistakes I know
Trust me, I've ***** up
If you could just learn to let go
Baby, you'd perk up
You're more perfect than you'll ever admit
You'd give me happiness
Don't try to deny it
All I ask is that you find your own
I know you deserve a happy home
Just don't let the man drag you down
Don't let him trample you into the ground
Please... stand up for yourself
***** everyone else
Look out for yourself
She'll grow up happy as long as you are
You know this, baby, it's not that hard
It's never too late to start over
Your eyes should always be looking forward
And you know... oh, you know...
My arms will always embrace you
But they can no longer await you
But if you ever break free
Just promise me, baby...
Promise you'll run to me

Hey there remember me? Darkangeleyes57? How are you.. Well this was beautiful and different from the other poems and lyrics that I have read from you. It was a really well written poem and I hope this girl realizes that you are there for her.

Take Care
