In the storm we walked a bit.
Hushed within the moment
of winters perils and diversity.
Crystal flakes swirling round,
dancing in holiday breezes .
Heavy shoes clogging along,
gathering millions of snowflakes beneath.
We made promises into the wind.
Pine tree’s nearby listened intent.
Words at times lack, just as winter flurries.
Hurried in the storms of life,
I made the promise,
it will last for all time.
Change with the seasons
and the first blush of spring.
