The Enchantress prevails

She sits demurely—not looking—yet fully aware.
Eyes, observing her demeanor
Shivers whisper across your skin.
She fires a glance your way. Feign disinterest.
A smirk covers her lips. Only when you can see it.
She knows. The eyes declare implicit words.
Forbidden arrest, you know you shouldn’t.
Seductively adorned with garments of ribbon and lace.
Gripping the table, nails trail deep lines.
Fighting for self-control.
She destroys the thoughts.
Hard to think of much else.
An awkward moment. Encouraged by that dark void.
No longer.
Struggling to bring it back…focus…
Distracted by the mere presence of her.
Overcome by lustful imagery.
Foolish, childlike desire.
Seal your mind; still, she filters through.
Timeless; drawn out.
Can this last without end?
Haunted by dreams that weaken the will.
Frustration remains, the sickness of desperation.
Spontaneous tantrums, confused, yet coherent.
You sigh, still brings no release.
Tension so great.
Don’t want to speak, only to think, to feel.
What manner of gods can protect you now?
