Roads And Mountains

Contributed by honey56 on Monday, 17th December 2007 @ 03:25:12 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

There you go again with someone
New,

Hurting my pride stealing my joy

Not muscle in my face to drop a
Tear

My smile has ceased

I'm in trouble

Nothing but age lines scarred
Cross my face

The age of wisdom written with
In my soul..

I pray for light

Stories of love and pain that burnt
Like fire..

Stories of love with laughter and
Joy,

Cross many rivers and mountain
Tops..

Fought many battles that I knew
I could not win

But, still have won more than my
Share..

The road I travel was not quite
Easy,

Bumpy and tricky this old road
Revealed...

I thought I was lost within the

Season of the black moon

But than I saw a beacon of light

That shine the brightest light for
Me to travel

So now my battle is won

While your friends keep on

Shredding their attitude

As you change your attire..

I prayed for happiness to shine
On me..

Than guess what?

Happiness found me through
Little ray of hope...

No longer the light perches my
Soul...

It walks alone with me...

And keeps me whole....

A wonderfully uplifting piece, honey. Even through sorrow
and pain, hope rises, shining a light on our path and offering
a comfort that helps us through anything.

And is it not all worth it in the end? Suffering brings about
a clarity that could be otherwise obscured, methinks. If
we did not know sadness, could we truly know happiness?

Excellent write. :)
