Upon this mossy boulder I sit
Near the lake, an aqua fire pit
One day down with a lifetime to go
Will I make it without you I do not know
To never hear the delicate rhythm of your heart
Always having you catch me if I were to fall apart
A breeze rips upon my tear-stained face
Burning my eyes, my heart continues it's race
When your soft lips spoke to me a shattering farewell
Surprisingly I didn't sink to an instantaneous hell
For my mind created the illusion that you'd return
You didn't backwards glance, merely left me to burn
Sitting next to the sorrowful seas
I ponder on what was and could be
Whipping winds singing in tune to my song
A story of my life without you all was wrong
I can tell myself it's the first day of the rest of my life
Yet without you, possessing life seems all but right
Only living to sit on this lush mossy boulder
Next to the aqua fire pit, a a broken-hearted loner.
