Into the darkness: Under My Wings

I watch and listen,
I share my wings that glisten
Hidden underneath, like a storm wrenched deep
i stare among the dark sky as i leap
Take off in this storm as my wings soar, and the blackness reaps
high above the hatred, into the clouds, seeing the heavens weep on me now
seeing my fate undertake, i share my wings to you, and make this my vow
Watching under the rain of war and destruction, i fly on to keep you unharmed
falling from the skies of hate, i failed you, my joy abates, as i feel you took away from me and made me unarmed
please answer these calls from the clouds, and destroy those that placate, and set me free from this cell
in my soul i feel alone, and reach out for you, to hold onto, bring me close one last time, i wont have you fall from my skies, i rid you of your hell
