The feeling is of burnt and dry
Can you see it through the corner of my eye?
Drive with me into the sunset, and into the darkness that lies beyond
I need you…
I need you…
I need you like the petals of a rose need the morning dew
I need you like the roses need the water
To grow…
To give them beauty…
To give them scent…
I’m the blind man walking upon the road
Come to me, open my eyes
Let the light rest upon them.
I can’t promise you LOVE
For that fades
Like
The letters we write upon the sand.
For the tide comes crashing
Wave after Wave
They crash
Wave after Wave
They crash onto the shore.
But I’ll leave you with memories
They’ll be there when you die.

I really enjoyed this. I got caught up in the emotions you were describing, and that's a really hard thing to do without coming across as having tried too hard! Wonderful. :) |
