Keep peeling those layers
Like dead skin flakes
Cooked by the heat of arguments
And cooled by debates
Keep smashing those prisons
You were born into
And escaping through windows
That give you your view
Keep breaking down walls
You find yourself behind
And looking for avenues
That boggle your mind
Keep bumbling forward
And stumbling into
What the world has to offer
And what speaks to you
Keep reaching and stretching
And you just might find
That all of the hurdles
Were just in your mind.

Hear, hear!!
Well done, xynobis. I do think we (people) are often held back by the dreaded "what if" and/or "if then" assumptions that are born more of fear than actual fact. Oh, what we can do if we act regardless of fear! In doing so, I believe, we probably surprise ourselves more than any other.
Somewhere deep down inside (under all those layers)... I like to think "can't" disappears. But yeh... I does take some digging, some hard work, to get underneath all the... stuff... that got piled on top.
