"Winter solstice"
By: Jen
Nothing is better
than the day
the sun is
farthest from the Earth
Seems like the
cold reflects my heart
As does the darkness
Will this chill ever end?
A question I ask often
but get no reply
I seek the answer
on the winter solstice
I feel so at home
on that day
So alive,so awake
That's normally my
happiest day unless
it snows
snow is too bright
too pretty for the
drab of winter
I wish it would just
go away on my favorite day
a day so cold, dark, and drab
the day of the winter solstice
the day i search for the answer
one i'll probably never
find.....
