Goodbye candle light

Contributed by Ran on Thursday, 6th December 2007 @ 04:19:33 AM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

The candle of life is slowly going out
Into the depths of despair I’m fading

A shallow heart ,
A nightmare so painful
Can’t tell .

Darkness is slowly taking over
I can not fight it ,
Its over ,

No more fight ,
No more fair ,
No more pain and agony ,

Only the dept of shadow ,
A pit as black as the night.

For some a cadge ,
For me freedom ,
The freedom I crave for ,

The candle of life is out ,
No more pain ,

I’m free ,
Free at last .

Don’t cry for me ,
I will al love you even in death

Don’t worry ,
Just let me slit my wrist one more time
For one time ,
Eternal.

An eloquent farewell, one I hope is only fictional.
Take care,

I really like how you poetically describe what your doing throughout this piece and then in the last stanza, you bluntly state that your gonna slit your wrist. It carries a bit of shock to it. It is a great ending to such a despairing poem.
