Perfect Little Soldier

Perfect little soldier
efficient as can be.
Perfect little soldier
wanting to be free.
Crawling through the dirt
Trying to ignore the hurt.
Commands slicing through the air
Training for war with precise care.
Tied to the bottom, no way out
Try to breathe, you'd die, no doubt.
Perfect ittle soldiers
must get free.
A child and a soldier
that is me.
Racing through the dark woods,
Faces hidden by the hoods.
Lunging for the fence just to be free
Running, victims of inhuman cruelty.
Trapped, feeling fear so stark
a shot rings out,
Then no light, only dark.
Perfect little soldier
lies in the ground.
No tears on the faces
can be found.
Perfect little soldier
now can be free.
Perfect little soldier
that is me.
