so much to dwell in the grips of dancing

now we see the quiet before the storm
only empty whisper in the night
sadness alert red flashing in our souls
the frustration beginning to boil
walking around in crowds alone but not in thought
civilization understands all the mistakes
but ignorance and greed bind
so desperate times call for stepping out of our shell
breath this air does it feel right to you
soak in the water see the toxic rainbows glimmer in the sun
now warlords are trying to raise the hand of peace
while his mercy has no falter in his lust
and bitter illusion is all we see
finger paintings of war smeared red
from bigger children's fingers
forming guns instead of health
fear over love
slowly fading all rights
now interests groups out only looking for there best interests
telling what is wrong with us with no symptom only cure
pills to help your mood genes to make the blame
death like a neighbor its call seems to all be the same
while my ghost is watching tv some sort of dating game
mud and hay this new foundation
no more tracks in the sand
oil spills have erased that beauty
serpents playing cards while humanity watches him cheat
prophets in Macdonald's getting warmth from the street
wedding bells now broken songs now a lawyers happy tune
lizards dressed in holy robes sticking forked tongue at the weak
weight so strong we blister on our feet
love is in the heart not a check made to cash
materialism a fashion plague not fit to dress the mass
singing songs of disco thats 30 years to past
lets not weigh the truth we all seem so much to dwell
is it a burden to call this place heaven or hell

Bold and hard-hitting. Slap the masses, man. Great write.
Peace and hugs,
