CLOSE MY EYES AND JUST BREATHE

Contributed by inevitable on Thursday, 29th November 2007 @ 01:05:28 PM in AEST
Topic: drugabuse

She realizes that these snowflakes
make her artificial
but she doesn't care
She is a product of undoing

Something that you'll never know
Just another flavor, like your stale cigarettes
You run your hand through her hair, black rain
Convinced that she is untouchable, a whisper

They marvel her from afar
Little boys intrigued, obsessed
yet too afraid to approach
She fears she will crush them
the delicate flowers

You offer her your world, knowing she hungers
diamonds, white as snow
Blue lines to trace, orange, the colors
fading beneath her breath, little pills
broken into powder, broken like her

a tragic tale indeed. i can't pretend to understand drugs or their horrific effects. i can only feel sorrow as people fall apart. worst of all, the dealers make a profit from the misery of the users. what a convoluted world we live in.
