Symptoms Of A Fool

Symptoms Of A Fool

What good is ones life?
When all is said and done
For what does one stand
When all comes undone

Where is the reason?
To brave a new day
Only to see our children
Wilt and wither, slowly pass away

How long will we as society
Tolerate the plague of alcohol and drugs
Turn blind eye to their consequences
Their pushers, their thugs

Open your eyes!
Look around you and see
How many families do you know?
Condemned to live in misery

Whose dreams of a future
Have deserted and fled
Stumbling into the abyss of oblivion
Of pretending to live but already dead

Yes drugs and alcohol
Only pose as friends today
In reality they slaughter hearts
Toss them coldly away

Listen to me people
Alcohol and drugs are never cool
They're but evidence of ignorance
Symptoms of a fool

Sad are the consequences of those that are caught by the evils of drug & alcohol abuse.
This poem relates it well. Let's be grateful WE keep clear of those temptations!
