"Love Lost"

Hope charred by the unforgiving fire of time.
It's lifeless embers falling unnoticed,
in a graceful dance of love's demise.
Pray tell what urge of desperate calling
allows such an endeavor, futile yet bold,
as still and forever the wounded heart waits.
