I Love To Listen

Contributed by Amythest on Monday, 26th November 2007 @ 09:41:09 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

A wonderful thing us humans have
Something we all take for granted
We use this thing to listen, to hear
I like to call this thing an ear

I love to listen to the rain
One of the things that keep me sane
I love to listen to the sound of thunder
CRACKS and BOOMS out of nowhere

I love the noise of birds chirping
Along with crickets and other insects murmuring
I love the noise of a waterfall, falling
Making splashes and crashes like a giant bawling

I love to listen to the sound of the breeze
As it sings its way through the trees
I love to hear waves crashing
As they hit the sand they make a noise of thrashing

I love the noise of the beating of wings
Of a bird in the air, in full swing
I love the sound of a musicians sax
The classic sounds of classic jazz

I love to listen to a cats purr
Gentle, quite, barley a stir
I love to listen to the sound, of silence
So I can relax in peace and quiet.

This reminded me that we should all take more time to stop and really listen to the world around us.
Then we might understand it a little more
