I Bleed

Contributed by pixie on Monday, 26th November 2007 @ 08:45:12 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

As you leave me I bleed,
Lay to rest with the soil and weeds,
Looking up at the sky,
Feeling able to let myself die.

You never saw the scars you left,
Never saw me struggle for breath,
When you went you started this,
From my lips you drained my last kiss.

If only you loved me like I do you,
If only you could see what you put me through,
My heart was damaged when you came along,
Now laying with death is where I belong.

I doubt you’ll cry a single tear,
Share a thought for us in passing years,
All we shared is what I held close,
Now I am clinging to wreckage, no hope,

The wreckage you left in your wake,
Is the very last hurt I can take,
You filled my heart with promises so false,
Now out with the key to my heart you do waltz.

You told me I was your special one,
That I complimented your moon with my sun,
All the while words coated with deceit,
You finally ripped my world from under my feet.

Yeah, Pixie...I see you've haven't lost a thing in this long absence of yours. Fantastically emotive write. It is so good to read you once again. Great rhyming scheme. Thanks for sharing.
Peace,
Laura

There is something effortless yet intense about the way you write.
Your poems have not lost any of their magic, they are not dimmed by what seems to have been an absence on here.
