obsession

As you pound the wall
and the door rattles,
the rain falling
over the pavement scatters
and blisters erupt like volcanoes
in the sea, when your anger deals a blow
and bit... by bit... it's set free...
Can you ask blindly,
can you not see?
Step forward, step forward,
let it be.
To walk out and the light suffocates your eyes,
the wind blows and your soul cries
for reason
and anger repeats
like the rhythm of a songs' words
to a beat.
Thoughts like pendulums in the asylums
of our brains,
echoes the words we dare to say,
repeats the song we wish to sing
but it's suffocated by everything life brings.
Step forward, step back,
like leaves fall in the spring
and the summer comes and goes
as time ticks by...
and we await another spring.
Let go, leave your dreams behind,
forget your fears, defy the silence,
live like it's the last day of your life
of which you don't want to live,
just let it all go, set it free
Perhaps a new morrow might come
and things will change, but
to live for tomorrow,
you have to die today.
