Disappointments…yes, embarrassments I can live with
I just love being your Dad
At times shaking my head, but realising I could not love you more
My whole purpose in life revolves around you
Pride always there when my heart swells
Loving you ‘till it hurts, but not always showing it
The look in your eyes, when I have gone astray, steers me back on course
Watching you grow and mature boggles my mind
Feelings never felt… before having you
The need to protect you always, but needing to let you grow
Sad times and glad times, make me whole
You’re both different, and yet so much alike
My daughter, my son, forever
