Been looking for something
Something that's not here
Something that isn't me
This me that I've become
While I was sleeping
In this wakefulness
I dreamed of
Of something better
Something better
than you've offered me
In your best off moments
Something more than
I alllowed myself to realise
While I was under
The spell I'm best at casting
The magic that keeps me
Seeing the brightest colors
In every word you spill
The magic that makes me
Believe you belive in
What I say and think
Like I do
Getting tired of
Getting tired of
Running into you and me
Thinking we're on the same page
I'm running out of words
Thinking they betray me
At every turn
When reality is
Perceptions that burn
each other down.
