Wonder (And Nothing More)

Contributed by Silent-No-More on Friday, 23rd November 2007 @ 04:30:20 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

He caught me,
The way children catch snowflakes
In the palm of their hands.
And for a moment, the world
Gave itself to the beautiful sort of silence
That accompanies snowstorms
As I dance-floated, fell
And melted into him.
He held me
As if welcoming me home
From a long journey,
The earth falling away beneath us
And the sky reaching down
To wrap us in
The pure white, perfect
Nothing-else of the moment.
The world disappeared
As we disappeared
Into the wonder,
Becoming in that instance
What we will never not be again.
If there was anything but him, just then
I knew nothing of it
And I wanted...
Nothing more.

Snem,

overcoming my GAY-dar, I read this one out loud (well softly), and it flowed like chocolate. Hoping it's a guy-thing and not a god-thing...

Wow Snem I think I'm melting away under the touch of your words! So beautiful, so romantic. I'm lost in pure white snowfields. Blissful write!

'Becoming in that instance
What we will never not be again'
The above lines are what I like most about this poem,
and though there's plenty to like about it,plenty!
They touch me more deeply.
Though such a wonderful moment is ephemeral, the impact is everlasting.

Wow, Snemmy. You sucked me in. I love this kind of a write because it's tangible and gives you something to both chew on and dream about. Love it. Sorry I've been delinquent.

Be well,
Loende
