The bear

The bear lives in the vast wilderness
we live in these dense over populated cities
I long for the life of the bear
I have been indoors to long
flipped to many switches
wasted to many days starring thoughtlessly at the box
my instincts are growing dull along with my ambition
I am numb
my body is obese and weak
I wouldn’t survive the life of the bear
the excitement alone could hurl my consciousness into the darkness never to return
I travel to the ever shrinking woodland areas
trying to relive the life of my ancestors
but to no avail
I weep and yearn to return home to technology
my senses are being over excited
I must kill these nerves
I may have over stimulated my mind
a tall glass of beer and a few hours of television
That should destroy any good I have done to my soul
I will sleep now and never truly awake
