Face Of Death!

Contributed by rico on Monday, 19th November 2007 @ 09:30:49 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I stare in to the eyes of a stranger, a man I have never seen before. The face is unfimilar to me, it is the face of a demon, or is it an Angel who has been through hell. Eyes filled with anger, and so much hate, enough to scorch the world and send it to its firey end. His face aged with the worry of time, so much time, so little. Enough to show the world that it is the time to repent or die, or is it Repent then die to live forever. I stare in to the eyes of a man who I should know. I stare at the lips that will soon release the sounds that not a person can fotget, the sound of the dark, I stare in to the dark hollow holes that i thought were eyes, now just empty spheres where the everlasting light shoud have been. The rememberance of life lost in time. I was mistaken it wasn't a face filled with anger, or hate, but Regret. I was wrong and now it is to late I have ran out of Time..... My Face aged with time, so much time, so little. My eyes light diminishing to a flick, it is time, My time, to repent as I die. As my lips let out the last breath of my life in to the air, known as the sound of the dark, Now I know that I have been staring into the mirror of my own self image.....Dying!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
