Wielding the Sword

Imprisoned thoughts and emotions,
Captives of the wrath.
Straining against bonds unseen-
Screaming to speak their dreams.
Lashed for emerging,
Scorned when seen.
They've been kept prisoners for pushing the seam.
The day has come for their songs to be heard.
The sword they will wield, to silence the scourge.
When the battle is through the blood will be laid-
to commemorate the dreams,
All over this page.
