She stares at the world with wonder and awe that two year old of mine
The magic, the mystery, the wonderful smells, expands her sense of time
A day must seem like a month to her, there’s so very much to do
The cupboards are caves, the drawers full of treasures, under tables enough room for two
Outside the back-door is a gigantic new world, full of her friends and pets
The birds, the ants, the ladybug and the butterfly when it sets
She loves to go for rides in the car, and for walks around the block
She plays in her sand box, swings on her swing, and all with no care for the clock
At times it’s just too big of a world, and she runs to our arms for a hug
We comfort her and make her understand, she’s as snug as a bug in a rug
Then she’s ready to go, and off with a yell, it’s a glorious world to see
Just watching her face and playing with her, the one who’s in awe is me

Beautiful, Keith. Great rhyming scheme...this flowed so well. What a fun time, huh? *smiles* Thanks for sharing.
