You've got me pinned
I'm facedown on the ground
Trying to crawl away
I'm tired of playing your game
The unforgiving sun
Burns into my eyes
I try to see who you are
I want to look you in the eye, and ask you why
I know I'm not alone
But with all my screaming
Only echos return
But I'll scream
Until my voice is gone
Why do you do this to me?
Just as soon as I think I can escape
You slam the door in my face
Laying facedown in the dirt
I'm screaming
"I've had enough!"
With your foot on my back
The thunder cracks
I'm waiting
For the rain
To wash this all away
When you stop all this pain
I secretly want more
My future burns up in flames
I'm screaming out
Yelling I've had enough, when you have me pinned on the ground
But when you leave me
I whisper, "Come back..."
I would rather have you, pain
Than feel nothing at all
