What's real?

Contributed by StephaniePaige on Friday, 16th November 2007 @ 05:39:47 AM in AEST
Topic: anguished

Tell the truth
but no one knows it
you've waited far too long to pull the curtains
slip away
you've earned it
you're hiding

in this circumstance, I can't believe you
I deny the other just as well
confusing, to no end
unamusing, at it's best
forget your point
when did this begin?
Is this a break?
nothing can mend

Flipping through the pages
where the answers won't be found
I lose, you lose
we racing to a come down
it's all downhill right now

Has she lost her last of mind?
I'll rewrite this day a thousand times
sick to my stomach, and crowded with spite
the truth is no less than the lie

burn your name
and stab your eyes
sew your mouth
it's wicked with lies
but whom do I defile?

forget this statement
I've lost my trust
I've lost my hope
I blame only you
whoever you may be
time won't tell the real obscene

damn this entire reality
it's one I refuse to live
this place we've lived in is ruins
and this, I can never forgive

to be completely honest, that is very frightening.
Some parts do not wholely make sense to me, but it is a very powerful poem.

I don't know if I like this or not. I know it's an angry poem, but I can't really tell what it's about..it's just a little fuzzy, too complicated for me I guess.
