....Not Supposed to be Here

Contributed by Sonibe on Thursday, 6th March 2003 @ 07:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

All of my "good works"
seem to bring a lot of pain,
I'm beginning to think
that it's all in vain.
I've been feeling (for a while)
that I don't belong here,
Now things are beginning to happen
nearly just as I feared.
Many things have happened
that have left scars on my heart,
But I can only take so much
before I fall apart.
At night, I sometimes look
at what could be a "good life,"
And then I realize I'll never get it
and try to end it with a knife.
I'm now far away
from my suicidal thoughts,
But those suicidal thoughts
well soon turn into many evil plots.
Luckily, my good side
won't let those plots manifest,
Because if my thoughts could take form
it would be worse than 100 pests.
I've always felt as though
"I was meant to be alone,"
As if my heart was assassinated
and I was casted off of my Royal Throne.
Through all of my problems
I never learned how to shed a tear,
But something doesn't feel right
kind of like....
....I'm not supposed to be here.

None of us are SUPPOSED to be here. We come about by random chance meetings.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
