Pretty Little Thing

Contributed by jyssvw on Tuesday, 13th November 2007 @ 10:33:04 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Forbidden fruit drips its nectar onto the bare chest of a gasping mistress
for a while now,
This day has been approaching in its inauspicious genesis

In all its glory
with history as its only testament

With time
to waste

Sensations to elevate

The eyes themselves become unwilling witnesses

A tale to be hold

A destination not unfamiliar to both

In unusual elegance

Dressed for an ordinary day

He Lifts his glass for an honest toast

Despised by many
although loved by most

All of those

Tipsy bubbles float

Amid the Champagne

With friends disguised as foes

Unleashed into the wild seas

As the waves double-cross

Oceans away

The sand slithers between her soft toes

Miles from her

He is lost

She can bare to watch him from opposite shores

To these people
the beatification of the self
is taken as a serious afterthought

An exciting proposition
learning what was never taught

Stumbling upon riches of which he never sought

A sight to see
the artistry
a phony philosopher is caught

Gazing

Upon imagery

Splattered on eaten cloth

With an ordinary cough

The enticing exhibition evolves

Hatching the exact plan

Crafting the perfect alibi

Crafty getaways

Patches slung over one lazy eye

Escape shows itself
to be a pack of whorish lies

It is dark

It is depressing

It is only she and I

Inviting

Chancing heaven

A walk through fire hoping to fry

A request made by angels
no sane man would ever deny

The choice is simple

Comply

Or die

jyss my friend .. you amaze me. In all the works that you place here, there is
an ache .. a need .. a definite plea, though perhaps not as apparent in some.

This .. damn ... this is such a deeply moving write. There is much in here
to tease and tantalize the senses and bring about emotions that
might even be lying dormant in some. And the ending? Holy heck! This
read in a way like a movie .. but it never ever lets one settle on
an emotion. In fact, I think I may be suffering from emotional whiplash
right about now ...

Excellent, as always, jyss. Just brilliant!
