Individuality Has Yet To Be Overrated

And to you,
I’m just another body
Another pointless soul
It’s all you’ve known to be true
And to you my dear,
The wasteland from which we dwell
Grows and fades the colours we need
Perhaps if this is what you want, I am to fear.
What you see, a miss
Is an evil soul
Someone different, a sinner in question
Then maybe it’s best for your bliss.
And you all try so hard
To stand out from the black
But lost in the nothingness
Is where you feel safely barred.
You can’t kill me
I’m everything you want
The air you breathe
I’m afraid, I’m inside you already.
Your life you throw to waste
Regretting what was not said
Don’t worry, I’ll fade away
But you will recognize my face.
I will not be ignored.
