anguished

This month has been difficult
With the passing of each day
I'd have what I always wanted
If it wasn't for that hollow day.
It's a thought I carry with me
Never gone from my mind
It's there when I wake each morning
It's there at night when I unwind.
Crazy, but I've been counting down the months
To when I would be due
And then I find I stop myself
Wondering if it's had the same affect on you.
Did you ever think the day would come?
The realization making it ever more real
Ever catch yourself with me in mind?
Thinking of how I feel?
If you only knew what it's done to me
Buried deep down inside
I've cried a million silent tears
That could build an ocean wide.
Never will a day go by
With that image not in my head
It will be a life long memory
- Something I look back at and dread.
Not the choice I made that day
But the excitement it could of been
I had that taken away from me
-You wiped away my dream!
