Where notions lead we follow
like lemmings to the ledge
and upon inspiration we borrow
against all bets we hedge
our thoughts now born in sorrow
whose depths have known the dredge
of a search now for the morrow
as we stand along the edge

A very talented poem leaving the reader thinking. with many interpretations for these word not always what is intended, which makes for a worth-while read.

Good wording and rhyming in this short but very full write. A fine morning's word. Thanks for sharing.

It's good to see you stopped at the edge to look towards the future...unlike a lemming who would now be in the abyss... |
