people say i'm thin.
am i really thin?
or just no longer obese?
people say i'm mad,
... that i'm gone in the head,
or am i just no longer feeling dead?
people say i'm smart,
because i passed a college course,
top of my class.... or were the others just dumb?
people say i'm pretty,
but i don't show it,
because i frown.
people say i get depressed,
at dangerous measures at times,
and they get scarred i might attempt suicide.
but people say nothing,
when i'm scared, or hungry.
when i'm losing my mind,
or comtemplating, taking my life.
they say nothing when i need a friend,
they look away when i reached out,
speaking through eyes and NOTHING ELSE.
implying i'm NOT worth their strength!
people say i some times talk too much,
about the distress life brings to touch.
but i just don't have much luck.
........ MY COUNCELLOR ASKED HOW I FEEL TODAY.....
I FEEL NOTHING,
I AM USED TO THE PAIN!

this is a tough poem to comment on...however, you asked for our thoughts on this. well, at least you may have mine.
taken as poetry...well, it's obvious you're young and just learning your way around a properly executed poem. but that's okay...you'll get past that...because it's also obvious that you're intelligent. with THAT being said, you must also be intelligent enough to realize that you shouldn't take life so seriously. life after all is the eternal joke and if you don't get the punch line...the joke's on you.
cheer up, kid. enjoy your youth and your life. before you know it you'll be an old fart in a wheelchair wishing you had these days back.
seriously.
