Goodbye My Love

Slit my wrist
To match the color of your lips
Drain out the blood
So I’m as empty as I feel
It drips into the river
Where she often gets a drink
Drink my blood vampire
As I die
Falling to the ground
Staring at the sky
Curse the heavens
They remind me of your eyes
The knife that killed me
Was not made of sharpened steel
You stabbed me through the heart
With broken shards of love
So goodbye my love
I go to eternal sleep
Where I will dream of you
My angel of death

wow girl.. this is some dark stuff from you.
Your starting to write along my subject lines
which worries me kinda. lol. This was fantastic though. I loved it. I can't single out any one verse becuase they are all outstanding. I've been inspired once today and this poem from you makes it twice. I think it's time I tried something again. Awesome poem , truly , doug |
