Fearing he be fully known,
By one of which he knows not,
Approaches the omniscient stranger,
Between dark and shadows he is caught.
A sneaky smile steals across,
Stranger knows the value of surprise.
Through some wickedness he is exposed,
For the passerby can see inside.
Mock recognition of one never before seen,
He wonders what evil will be served.
Just as the pinnacle of their meet draws near,
Stranger traces a path away from him curved.
Thinking he has been spared by fate,
He lets out his inner breath in heaves.
Just as he begins to think he is safe,
Behind him is a rustling in the leaves.
Seized by the wicked all-knowing,
He underestimated what through soul is shown.
Too late he learned what he needed to know,
Never leave you and this stranger alone.
