second chances

Topic: Lifepoems

i thought this was over and we were through That love ran it's course and left nothing to pursue Yet now that your gone and I'm on my own i cant help but feel so very alone i know that we drifted so far apart And in the beginning it broke my heart i buried my love with resentment and pain Hoping I wouldn't go insane I patiently waited for you to leave Never thinking my heart would want to grieve Yet now here I am, me without you And quite frankly I'm not really sure what to do its like part of me died a tragic death And the pain's getting worse with every breath I never dreamed I'd want you back in my life Or that part of me missed being your wife To deny these feeling would be a sin And I don't want to live with what could of been So when your ready to talk about love and our life I'm ready to listen and again be your wife ....... Your well written and emotional poem draws me back to a painful time and place in my life that was similar. I wish you peace in this dark time.
