Drink that beer and your mind will be gone

Contributed by Voice of the Silent on Thursday, 1st November 2007 @ 08:25:45 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Everyone in my family drinks beers
They all drink rounds saying cheers
All still drinking them breers
They drink and drink till their mind is gone
and they won''t be better till dawn
having headaches get asperian to make it gone
and all this time they think i''m gone
They all think I''m just invisible
Their state of mind are always gone
Their minds start to be bygones
as soon as they say cheer
and they start drinking them beers

I liked the poem, humerous yet a hint of sadness. Very cool

I see this a little differently than others. Your expressive poem seems to be describing alcoholism and your invisibility in its midst. A very sad and desperate place to be.
