selfstruggles

You've no idea
what I go through in a day
a month
a year...
It is as if within me the weather
constantly changes
Hot and Cold
Off and On
Wind and Stillness
Snow and Heat
One extreme to another
in the blink of an eye
~~Bi-Polar~~
Do you think I am happy where I am?
There is no place to escape this
No where to run from it
It is always there
brooding like an aged butler
disapproving eyes meandering here and there
Do me a favor would you please
For I am weak in the knees
To damn stubborn to take the correct measures
I beg of you I don't want to die
but I am obviously a burr to all I come in contact with
Clinging...latching on as if You were the last host
to carry me along
A pitiful scratching at the ankles
adhered to socks
Hurry now, reach down and pick me off
toss me aside, if you please
Kill me...
before the hooks get too deep

Sis,
God this reached out and bit me, now I sit stinging as I read this. Your honesty here is beyond words. Never fear you are never alone...
I also wont reach down and toss u off nor kill you but instead pick you up and hug it all away...
again another incredible and raw honest write from you.

I have a neice who is bi-polar and I have seen all the painful emotions in her that you have expressed so well in this poem. Your work is raw, heartfelt and very well written. |

Hugs for sharing, so many others experience these feelings and fluctuations within as well and so as all have said you are never alone.
We here love your writings and your sharing of all the wonderful parts of you. We are proud of all you have conquered and we send you strength through friendship that will carry you far.....always.Big Sis ND |

Oh sis .. this is heart-wrenching! I am awash with so much emotion and so much ache for you. I do not
know what it is you go through on a daily basis, but I know that it must be a painful struggle indeed. I mean,
just the normal mood swings we must endure are frustrating ... but to find it difficult to function on a daily,
weekly, yearly basis, having this to cope with. It is a comfort, at least in some smallish sort of way, that you
are able to write about this and release some of the bent up emotion I'm sure is quite weighty at times. Hun,
I see so many things in this .. so much of YOU .. but what I see the most ... is bravery. You can't be held
down. I love that about you.
Oh, and if you in fact ARE a burr .. well then, I'll take you home and place you in my zen sand garden where
you shall live in harmony and not "stick" to anything. But rather, you'd enhance the atmosphere, mood and
general astetics of the place. As you, my dear, sweet hippie sis, Laura, do in life. love you hun.
Here for you ~
